Microchipping provides a reliable way to verify a horse’s identity, which can contribute to the well-being of a horse and support consumer confidence during horse sales.
To help competitors understand new microchipping requirements that will take effect beginning in the 2018 competition year, an informational site has been developed with the USHJA to provide education and resources to help answer questions regarding microchipping.
The brochure below and video from Hagyard Equine Medical Institute provide additional information regarding the microchipping process. Please consider sharing this information with others to assist educating athletes, owners, trainers, and parents on microchipping.
