If your horse’s lameness has been difficult to diagnose or resistant to treatment, our new, cutting edge technology tool can pinpoint the problem. Using a computerized tool called the Lameness Locator, we can diagnose and monitor even the smallest amount of lameness. The Lameness Locator consists of sensors that are placed on the poll, front leg and the hip. When the horse is trotted out it collects the data and your 3H veterinarian interprets the results. This is a great diagnostic tool to truly be able to chart progress. The decision to use the Lameness Locator is typically brought on by the inability to diagnosis due to multiple limb involvement, lack of improvement through joint blocks, or when lameness is only noticed by the rider.
